Murmuration Drawings:
Texture & Movement in Processing

The following drawings are a series of works done in Processing, and began as attempts to represent the flight patterns of a murmuration (flock of starlings) in hopes of understanding the field and array conditions demonstrated by the flock.

But over time, I became interested in not only the representation of the birds flying through time and space, but also how the static drawing can come to represent a concept that is inherently dynamic and in flux.
